Job Description
Standard Plumbing is among the largest family owned and operated Plumbing, Heating, Sprinkler, and Hardware wholesalers in the Western United States. We are looking for a warehouse/counter sales delivery driver to add to our team! This individual will work closely with our sales staff and warehouse to ensure we are providing solutions to our customers' everyday needs. Our Delivery Drivers pick up and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules. You should be willing to work as part of the delivery team in order to ensure that the items are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct client. There is a good culture at Standard. You will have the opportunity to see many of the same customers every day, week, and month. Responsibilities:
- Be accurate in pulling orders and providing correct lead-times on ordered product.
- Receive product into the store and Restock product on the shelf.
- Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
- Accepting payments for delivered items.
- Perform frequent safety checks and services on vehicles.
- Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
- Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards.
Delivery Driver Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to move objects 10-50 lbs. and occasionally lift/move objects over 100 lbs.
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license issued by the state where you intend to work.
- Clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical. Requirements
