$20/hr Job Description The Material Handler supports smooth warehouse and production operations by accurately kitting, picking, packing, and moving materials throughout the facility. This role involves frequent lifting, standing, and navigating stairs while maintaining a high level of accuracy and productivity in a fast-paced environment. The Material Handler works closely with team members to ensure materials are handled, stored, and tracked correctly in support of daily operational goals. Responsibilities Perform material handling tasks, including repeatedly lifting up to 50 pounds independently and up to 75 pounds with assistance. Execute kitting, picking, and packing activities accurately and efficiently to support production and shipping schedules. Move materials between workstations and departments, including carrying items up and down stairs as needed. Maintain productivity while standing and working on your feet for up to 8 hours per shift. Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of materials to support accurate inventory control. Support order picking and packing operations to ensure timely shipping and receiving activities. Assist with loading and unloading materials, using pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to meet daily operational and production goals. Adhere to established processes and work instructions while demonstrating strong attention to details Work Environment The role is based in a small office and production area located inside a shopping mall, creating a unique and accessible workplace setting. The production team consists of approximately 15 employees, with about 80 employees across the company, fostering a friendly, team-oriented environment where you can get to know your coworkers. The position follows a daytime schedule, typically from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 or 5:00 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch break. You will work primarily on your feet in a warehouse and production setting, handling materials, using pallet jacks, and moving items between workstations, including up and down stairs. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and cleanliness, with a focus on efficient material flow and reliable support for production operations Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bolingbrook, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
