Dispatcher/Load Planner- Nights 6pm-6am

Training will be during the day in Wenona, IL. Can be a remote position after training for the right candidate. Must have commercial trucking industry dispatch experience. Breckenridge Trucking, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time well-qualified Truck Dispatcher / Load Planner to provide overall support in the scheduling, monitoring, and overseeing of drivers and the load delivery process. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Truck Dispatcher / Load Planner with a great attitude, excellent communication skills, and enthusiasm to join our team. The ideal candidate will strategically plan for the week and understand how to operate within DOT regulations. Knowledge of Fuel Hauling a plus. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Enter load information into the TMW dispatch system and schedule and assign loads effectively and efficiently.
• Review documentation to ensure that proper load numbers, lifting instructions, rack assignments, billing instructions, etc. are accurate.
• Review dispatch sheet and driver assignments to ensure all loads are dispatched.
• Review the loads, rates, driver miles for efficiency and direct, train and coach drivers for the growth and the profitability of the company.
• Review driver's Hours of Service Logs for available hours.
• Monitor ELD vehicle tracking system.
• Establish cost effective delivery routes and schedules.
• Verify equipment availability with shop and schedule equipment for all PM and DOT tests and inspections.
• Assist Human Resources with significant input related to drivers, such as but not limited to recruiting, training, Driver discipline, time off approval, vacation approval, and termination.
• Assist the service department with coordinating PMs.

Qualifications:

• Must have basic DOT regulation and HOS knowledge.
• Develop and maintain a professional but meaningful relationship with each driver to insure his/her needs are being met by the company.
• Advocate and maintain a strong commitment to safety in the operating process.
• Communicate timely and effectively with customers to ensure a high level of service and handle any requests or complaints from customers.
• Must have basic knowledge of the highway trucking and associated rules and regulations.
• Must be punctual to work and be able to handle stress and meet all deadlines in a timely manner with a high level of accuracy.
• Ensure protection and security of files and records.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information.
• Maintain positive attitude with drivers, staff and supervisors.
• Any other duties assigned by the Manager.
• Qualified applicant must be a team player and strong leader with excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to organize, direct and manage multiple tasks in a changing complex environment and have effective stress and time management skills.
• Intermediate PC, including Office 365, spreadsheet, word-processing, internet, email and computer skills required.

Prior experience with TMW, Motive, or other electronic logging a plus.
