Warehouse Worker Job Description This role involves working in a clean, temperature-controlled warehouse that supports the production of thermostats, sensors, control panels, and other electro-mechanical building control components. You will work in a designated area such as picking, shipping, receiving, or replenishment and receive cross-training to support multiple functions. The position requires extensive walking, consistent use of RF scanners, and adherence to safe lifting practices while contributing to an efficient and accurate warehouse operation. Responsibilities Work in a designated warehouse area such as picking, shipping, receiving, or replenishment and support other areas as needed through cross-training. Pick orders accurately and efficiently using RF scanners to ensure correct items, quantities, and locations. Perform shipping tasks, including staging, labeling, and preparing outbound materials for transport. Handle receiving duties by unloading, verifying, and processing incoming materials and products. Replenish inventory in designated locations to maintain accurate stock levels and support continuous operations. Use RF scanners throughout the shift to track inventory movements, update system records, and maintain inventory accuracy. Walk throughout the warehouse for the majority of the shift to locate, move, and organize products. Follow safe lifting practices, including team lifting for any items over 25 pounds. Support production and warehouse teams by moving materials to and from production cells as needed. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area in both the warehouse and production-adjacent spaces. Follow all site procedures, safety guidelines, and standard operating processes while working on any assigned shift. Participate in training, including initial training (typically on 1st shift) and ongoing cross-training to expand skills and flexibility. Essential Skills Previous warehouse experience, including working with materials, inventory, or order fulfillment. Comfort working off equipment for significant portions of the day and performing manual tasks. Ability to be on your feet and walking for the full 8-hour shift. Ability to use RF scanners to locate, pick, and track inventory. Willingness to work any of the available shifts: 1st shift (Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 2:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m.), or 3rd shift (Monday-Friday, 10:00 p.m.-6:30 a.m.), with optional Saturday overtime. Commitment to following safety guidelines, including team lifting for items over 25 pounds. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. Experience using SAP or similar inventory management systems. Experience in picking, loading, and general warehouse operations. Comfort working in a quiet, clean, and structured production and warehouse setting. Openness to cross-training in multiple warehouse functions such as picking, shipping, receiving, and replenishment. The role involves extensive walking throughout the shift and adherence to safe lifting practices, including team lifts for items over 25 pounds. Work is structured across three Monday-Friday shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd), with Saturday overtime available on an optional basis.
