Channahon, IL Pay Rate:
$20.00 - $20.75 per hour
Schedule:
1st shift M-F 6:00am-2:00pm, 2nd Shift M-F 2:30pm-10:30pm No Clockwatchers. Just Movers, Stackers, and Go-Getters. Packages customer orders accurately and safely, including verifying items, manually moving products, packing shipments, and preparing orders Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous warehouse or material handling training is beneficial. Experience Requirements Experience moving, organizing, loading, or unloading materials in warehouse or manufacturing environments. Ability to accurately identify products, labels, inventory locations, and shipping documentation. Knowledge of safe material handling practices and workplace safety procedures. Ability to operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as required. Strong attention to detail, organization, and dependable work habits. Ability to perform simple math calculations. Ability to identify and locate product which requires reading, counting, and printing. Ability to operate various manual material handling equipment. Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions. Ability to identify different written forms, box labels etc. Preferred Qualifications Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution experience is preferred. Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems is beneficial. Knowledge of inventory control procedures, warehouse documentation, or Lean warehouse practices is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate reliability, teamwork, attention to detail, and safe work habits are well positioned for success as a Material Handler. 6 months warehouse experience is preferred Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive material handling tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely move products using manual or powered material handling equipment. Ability to work efficiently in warehouse or manufacturing environments while following established safety procedures.
