Job Description

CompX Grayslake is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered mechanical and electromechanical locking devices, systems for world class original equipment manufacturers and manufacture of precision instruments, throttles, marine products, and accessories. The candidate should be self-motivated, multi-tasking individual who has good communication and interpersonal skills.
Position Responsibilities :
Prepare parts for shipping to outside vendors (transaction and physical preparation). Load and unload packages from incoming trucks. Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged. Ability to receive, pick/pull, and ship material via UPS, FedEx, etc. Deliver parts to respective areas in the plant. Transfer material in/out of stockroom. Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, etc.). Perform Cycle counts and transact material in ERP system. Perform all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods. Put away product/material. Other Duties Assigned.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Physical Requirements:
High School Diploma, G.E.D. Ability to lift or move up to 35 lbs. Occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs. Knowledge of ERP System, a plus. Ability to drive all powered equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, tugger, etc.). Constant exposure to indoor manufacturing environment. Constantly standing and walking throughout the workday. Frequent repetitive motions. Required to wear eye protection and safety shoes.
