Description:
GENERAL SUMMARY
This is an hourly position that reports to the Plant Manager and this position is responsible to operate (drive) a lift truck and responsible for receiving, locating and storing raw materials and shipping finished product to customers and warehouses.
SCOPE OF JOB FUNCTION
Receive incoming materials in a manner consistent with receiving & safety procedures. Inspect and evaluate quality of incoming materials, report findings into computer-based system. Locate, store and enter receipt transactions into computer-based system. Locate & transfer all finished product from storage to dock for shipping. Enter all customer shipments / warehouse transfers into the computer-based tracking system. Maintain housekeeping standards in the warehouse areas. Rotate raw materials. Prepare UPS shipments. Understand and follow all standards, food safety policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Knowledge of manufacturing environment, preferred. Effective verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to work well with others in the company. Self directed with a great attitude. Ability to work off shifts, weekends, and holidays if required.
