Job Description

We are looking for a Material Handler to assist in coordinating and expediting flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between and within departments using a sit- down fork truck as primary means of transportation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Ensure manufacturing process is supplied with all material components in a way that prevents machine downtime. Provide production with material, inventory and storage containers to maintain a consistent flow of production. Operate material handling equipment, safely and give due consideration to pedestrians; perform daily inspections and maintenance as required. Keep parts in progress and finished goods in stock areas organized, neat and manage stock rotation. Stage shipments, ensuring accurate quantities are ready for export. Support quality standards by visually inspecting inventory. Work with operators to safely move inventory and material through various work stations. Make recommendations as needed to improve workflow. Operate propane counterbalance (certification required). Participate and support plants quarterly inventory count. Move / relocate inventory within the plant to ensure safe and proper positioning based on product demand and size. Practice good housekeeping. Follows and comply with all Operational Procedures and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (i.e.
IATF, ISO 14001
) Other duties as assigned. Characteristics

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities High School Diploma or GED. Drivers License required Previous Fork Truck Driving in a Manufacturing Environment Required Use of Hand-held scanner required Experience with overhead cranes. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Good English verbal and written communication skills required
