Job Title:
Warehouse Associate 2nd 3pm-11:30pm Job Description The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in the movement, storage, and preparation of products within a large distribution facility. This position focuses on shipping and receiving activities, loading and unloading trucks by hand, and accurately following pick lists to ensure orders are processed and staged correctly. Responsibilities Move products throughout the warehouse safely and efficiently. Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including unloading trucks by hand and loading outbound shipments. Follow pick lists to locate stock, verify correct quantities, and pull orders from racks. Stage pallets and shipments on the docks in preparation for loading onto trucks. Stack boxes on skids and manually wrap skids using shrink wrap to secure loads. Help organize the warehouse after picking orders to maintain a clean and orderly environment. Put away products in the correct locations, ensuring inventory is stored accurately and rotated properly. Assist with checking received inventory, recording what was received, and supporting accuracy checks. Support inventory rotation by placing newer stock behind older stock and ensuring items are labeled correctly. Collaborate with team members, including logistics staff and warehouse workers, to maintain smooth operations. Essential Skills Experience working in a warehouse environment with shipping and receiving responsibilities. Ability to load and unload trucks by hand and handle physical tasks such as lifting, stacking, and wrapping pallets. Proficiency in following pick lists and pick sheets to locate and pull orders accurately. Basic inventory handling skills, including putting away products and rotating stock. Attention to detail when checking inventory and staging shipments to ensure accuracy. Ability to work effectively in a small team environment and maintain a positive attitude. Comfort working without a forklift, relying on manual material handling and pallet jack use. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ringwood, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
