Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of materials and products throughout the facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, order picking, and the safe operation of heavy equipment. Schedule:
Sunday through Thursday Start Right away Must Speak Spanish Responsibilities Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment to load and unload materials safely. Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage order picking processes. Perform shipping and receiving duties, ensuring accurate documentation of all incoming and outgoing shipments. Handle materials with care, adhering to OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in organizing the warehouse layout for optimal efficiency in materials handling. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that arise during shifts. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs. Engage in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury. Qualifications Previous experience in warehouse distribution or materials handling is preferred. Familiarity with order picking processes and heavy equipment operation is essential. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and practices within a warehouse setting. Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues is a plus. Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is advantageous. Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. A team player who can work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
