Material Handler

Job Title:

Material Handler Job Description Candidates will be responsible for working in the shipping department of a production facility. They will manage activities in the warehouse, as well as cross over to the production side to transport finished goods back to the shipping area for dispatch. Responsibilities Supply materials to the production lines. Keep track of material flow and inventory. Wrap skids and palletize products. Use an RF Scanner for inventory management. Operate a reach truck to load trucks and transport material. Occasionally use a cherry picker. Ship products using UPS and FedEx. Essential Skills 1 year of forklift experience. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Capability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds if required. Computer literacy. Attention to detail. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience as a material handler in a manufacturing setting. OSHA Forklift Certification. Basic knowledge of JDE systems and kanban. Work Environment The facility is a global manufacturer of water filtration systems, where water filters are produced and shipped. The production floor and warehouse are separate but interconnected areas, and candidates should be prepared to work in both. The environment is well-lit and relatively clean, though it is not climate-controlled and can become hot in the summer. Safety is a key focus within the company culture. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roselle, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
