Job Description

Material Handler Warehouse Operations
POSITION SUMMARY
The Material Handler supports daily warehouse and production operations, ensuring that raw materials, components, and finished goods are accurately received, stored, staged, and distributed throughout the facility. This role is central to maintaining uninterrupted production flow, inventory accuracy, documentation integrity, and shipment quality while upholding safety standards and handling procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Material Flow, Receiving & Production Support Receive, count, stage, transport, and deliver raw materials, components, packaging supplies, and finished goods throughout the facility. Ensure production lines are continuously supplied with the correct materials, kits, labels, and documentation per manufacturing schedules and priorities. Respond to MO updates, schedule changes, and urgent material requests to minimize downtime. Material Verification & Quality Verify Part Numbers, count component box quantities, and stage materials for manufacturing orders. Inventory, Traceability & System Transactions Verify quantities, maintain inventory accuracy, support cycle counts, and ensure material traceability through proper documentation. Perform GP inventory transactions and material movement updates accurately and in a timely manner. Documentation & Labeling Maintain production, inventory, shipping, lot tracking, scrap tracking, and labeling records in accordance with operational and regulatory requirements. Warehouse, Staging & Finished Goods Organize and maintain warehouse locations, staging areas, storage zones, and production support areas to ensure efficient workflow and housekeeping standards. Pack, label, certify, move, and prepare finished products and skids for storage or shipment. Equipment Operation Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, scanners, and other material handling equipment in accordance with certification requirements and safety procedures. Cross-Functional Coordination Coordinate with production, warehouse, quality, planning, receiving, shipping, and team leadership to support daily operational requirements and communicate material status or issues proactively. Safety & Compliance Follow all plant safety policies, PPE requirements, material handling standards, and standard operating procedures while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Continuous Improvement Support operational efficiency, process improvements, inventory control accuracy, and workplace organization initiatives in alignment with lean manufacturing expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred; component-handling experience is an asset. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse tasks. Basic computer skills including inventory systems and barcode/scanning equipment. Forklift certification or willingness to complete certification. SKILLS Strong organizational and time-management abilities Accuracy in handling, counting, and verifying components and materials Proficiency with inventory systems and ERP transactions Good communication and cross-functional teamwork Ability to follow detailed procedures, SOPs, and safety guidelines Strong attention to detail and ability to work with component traceability requirements. Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven production environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Standing, lifting, and moving materials for extended periods throughout the shift. Exposure to a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels. Use of PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, and protection as required. Work may involve temperature variation in warehouse and production areas.
