Job Description
We are looking for a Warehouse Worker in East Chicago, IN to become part of our team focused on safety. The role encompasses responsibilities such as shipping, receiving, inventory management, and operating forklifts. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming materials and equipment
- Maintaining inventory and tracking material movement
- Issuing materials to contractors and project personnel
- Organizing warehouse storage and laydown areas
- Tracking critical and long-lead materials to ensure availability when needed
- Coordinating deliveries, staging, and material movement
- Maintaining records for received, issued, returned, and surplus materials
- Supporting proper storage and preservation of equipment and materials
- Identifying and resolving material shortages, damage, or discrepancies
- Supporting project and contractor teams with material-related needs
QUALIFICATIONS
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse. Responsible for drum, tote, and bin management, including unloading, organizing, documenting, and processing Inventory control - maintain and report designated minimum and maximum inventory levels for reconditioned drums, oil filter bins, packaged antifreeze products, parts washer solvents, parts washer units, absorbent goods, PPE, and other designated assets stored within the warehouse Shipping and receiving - receive, inspect, organize, and distribute inbounds goods, report shortages and damage immediately. Prepare and load outbound shipments including drums, totes, bins, packaged antifreeze, parts washer solvent, parts washers, absorbent goods and PPE Lift heavy items and operate a forklift. Operate and maintain filter crushing equipment and bulk unloading equipment Responsible for preventative maintenance on filter crusher Unload bulk filter collection trucks/load processed filters Maintain housekeeping - filter crusher area and bulk filter unloading area Responsible for managing used oil generated from crushing operations Process all drummed used filters Responsible for facilities grounds maintenance Other duties as assigned by the supervisor Safety-Kleen Systems, a Clean Harbors company, has a commitment to excellence deeply rooted in a strong sense of tradition.
