Full Job Description Purpose:

Participates in shipping and receiving activities under the direction of the Customer Service Manager.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required. Strong mechanical, written and verbal communication skills, planning and organization, and basic computer knowledge. Forklift experience and/or certification. Knowledge of UPS, FedEx and basic freight shipment processing and documentation is preferred. Able to lift at least 60 lbs. Standing, walking, bending over for 8 hours per day. Able to drive a forklift. Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Environment:

Non-air-conditioned warehouse environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Maintains well organized, efficient, and productive layout of inventory. 2. Effective communications to include working with the Warehouse Coordinator, Customer Service Manager, branch, purchasing and management personnel. 3. Processes all supporting documentation according to Company procedures. 4. Participates in and/or directs same day processing of all shipping and receiving activities as directed by Warehouse Coordinator or Customer Service Manager to include but not limited to:

• Order filling, packaging, and proper processing of freight shipments and will call orders
• Receiving all income freight including documentation
• Stocking received inventory in proper rack or bin area
• Assisting with maintaining adequate supply of shipping materials 5.

Assist with walk-in customers 6. Develop product knowledge to assist with customer service needs 7. Assist with daily cycle counts, inventory control, freight claims, and daily warehouse paperwork. 8. Observe health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse in clean, safe and orderly condition. 9. Able to pass a pre-employment 10-panel drug test and background check. 10. Has a valid Driver License. This position may perform other duties as assigned or as judgment or necessity dictates. Duties are performed in accordance with all safety rules and regulations. Good housekeeping skills are essential to keep work area organized, free of debris and unnecessary clutter.
