Yard/Material Handler

Reese is an 88 year old company that distributes Roofing, Siding, Windows and other building materials to builders and contractors. We operate 9 Branches in Indiana and 1 in Kentucky. We are looking to hire Yard/Material Handlers at our Plainfield location. The Yard/Material Handlers builds material packages for sales orders our customers place with us. You will either load them into the back of our customers vehicle or will load them onto the back of a Reese delivery vehicle. The Warehouse Clerk will also unload materials from our suppliers and put these materials away. You will be keeping the warehouse/yard area organized and clean. You may also be asked to preform roof loading. This is when you either ride along or meet our crane at a jobsite. Using your safety training, you will get on the roof and hand unload shingle bundles that the has lifted up to you on the roof. You may also be asked to deliver items in a Reese pick up truck and/or while pulling a trailer. This is considered an Entry Level position. Highlights- The pay is $17.00 per Hour plus Benefits; (See below) Hours are 7:00am 5:00pm M-F, and when scheduled, Saturdays 7:00am-Noon; You will be handling items that can be as heavy as 100lbs often; Must be willing to get on roofs and unload shingle bundles lifted to you by our delivery crane. You must have a current Driver's License; May be pulling a small trailer; You will be operating a Forklift; we can train you how; You will be working outdoors often; Job Requirements Required to pass a Drug Test. We do not screen for THC; Required to pass a Criminal Background Screening; Required to drive a forklift or have ability to learn how to drive a forklift; Required to have you own reliable transportation to and from work; Required to do basic math skills- Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division; Required to lift and carry 100 lbs. unaided; Required to work in all weather conditions, hot, cold, rain and snow; Required to work weekends as scheduled; Benefits $17.00/ Hour, paid every two weeks on Thursday; Time and a half after 40 hours; Auto enrolled into 401k at 1% pretax; 401k Employer match at 30% after 1 year; Profit Sharing when employed for 1 full calendar year from 1/1 to 12/31; E.S.O.P.
