Summary As a Dock Worker at B&H Freight Line, Inc., you will be an essential part of our operations team, responsible for ensuring the efficient loading and unloading of freight. This role is vital to maintaining our high standards of service and operational efficiency. Hours are 8a-5p, Monday through Friday. Responsibilities Load and unload freight from trucks using appropriate equipment. Ensure all shipments are accurately documented and accounted for during loading/unloading processes. Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Assist in organizing freight within the dock area to optimize workflow. Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any issues. Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Move trailers and trucks throughout the yard. Follow all safety protocols and company policies at all times during operations. Qualifications Proven experience in materials handling or warehouse operations preferred. Strong ability to load and unload freight efficiently and safely. Familiarity with operating pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment. Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus, but not mandatory. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation of shipments. Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or in distribution centers is beneficial but not required.
