Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the shipping, receiving & warehouse supervisor, the warehouse worker is responsible for picking individual components and/or assemblies per a picking document to prepare these items for order fulfillment and shipment. The warehouse worker will assist in receiving and storing raw materials, finished goods, hardware, and supplies in the correct location within or outside of the facility.
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday 7am-430p This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Verify components picked against the picking document. Transport raw materials and other items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas using a forklift or hand truck. Maintain warehouse; ensure neat and orderly storage of raw materials, finished goods, hardware, etc. Read pick tickets to determine materials needed for order preparation. Notify supervisor of low inventory supply. Periodically, take inventory of material, equipment, and supplies in storage as assigned. Assist with basic assembly of components and/or cutting, drilling, and routering of lumber, bases or supports as needed. Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures. Satisfy the required hours of the department.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma, this is an entry level position.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER QUALIFICATION
Requires the ability to operate various hand tools and equipment. Must be able to operate a manual and powered pallet jack and the ability to pass forklift operator course and drive a forklift.
