Experienced Bicycle Mechanic / Warehouse & Field Support Associate Tandem Mobility Wichita, KS Job Details Full-time $19 - $20 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications Mechanic experience Packing Logistics Driver's License Driving Warehouse experience Picking & packing Full Job Description We are looking for an Experienced Bicycle Mechanic / Warehouse & Field Support Associate to join our hands-on operations team. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in quality mechanical work, and is comfortable balancing bicycle repair, warehouse support, and regional field service. In this position, you will support daily bicycle service operations, assist with warehouse organization and inventory, and travel to service locations throughout Wichita, surrounding Kansas communities, the Great Plains region, Kansas City, Oklahoma, and nearby areas. The right candidate is dependable, organized, mechanically skilled, and comfortable working independently during field visits. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with their hands, and being part of a growing operation where no two days are exactly the same. Bicycle Service & Repair Perform bicycle inspections, repairs, adjustments, and routine maintenance. Diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs efficiently and accurately. Assemble, tune, and safety-check bicycles. Service brakes, drivetrains, wheels, tires, chains, cables, and related components. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop/work area. Document completed work, parts used, and service notes as needed. Represent the company professionally and courteously while working in the field. Warehouse & Operations Support Assist with receiving, organizing, and stocking inventory. Pick, pack, load, and unload bikes, parts, tools, products, and equipment. Prepare bikes, tools, parts, and materials for service visits or deliveries. Maintain accurate inventory counts and report shortages or damaged items. Help keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized. Support daily operational needs as assigned. Travel & Field Service Travel to assigned service locations throughout Wichita, Kansas, the Great Plains region, Kansas City, Oklahoma, and surrounding areas. Complete stand-alone service visits, which may require up to 3 days of travel at a time. Work independently while maintaining clear communication with management. Transport tools, bikes, parts, and supplies as needed. Follow company procedures while working at off-site locations. Qualifications Previous experience as a bicycle mechanic is required. Strong knowledge of bicycle systems, components, repair methods, and safety standards. Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues independently. Comfortable using hand tools, bike-specific tools, and basic warehouse equipment. Ability to lift, move, and handle bikes, parts, tools, and warehouse materials. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Dependable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively. Flexible and willing to shift between mechanical work, warehouse duties, and field assignments. Able to travel for up to 3 days at a time when needed. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Professional bike shop, mobile repair, fleet maintenance, or warehouse experience. Experience working with e-bikes, cargo bikes, or commercial bike fleets. Inventory, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience. Comfortable completing service visits without direct on-site supervision. Printing, decal, vinyl application, or graphics installation experience is extremely helpful. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and work with your hands for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed. Ability to load and unload bikes, tools, parts, and warehouse materials. Ability to work in warehouse, shop, and field environments. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is an experienced bicycle mechanic who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in doing the job right, and likes having variety in their day. You should be comfortable working on bikes, supporting warehouse operations, and traveling for field service assignments when needed. This role is best suited for someone who is flexible, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while staying connected with the team. Experience with printing, decals, vinyl application, or related graphics work is a strong plus and would be extremely helpful in this position. Work Location This role involves hands-on work in Wichita, KS, surrounding communities, and regional service areas, including on-the-road maintenance checks and field support visits. The warehouse is the organization's corporate headquarters and is located in downtown Wichita.
