Job Description

The General Laborer supports daily operations across the log yard, stave yard, and dry kiln areas by assisting with material handling, inventory movement, equipment support, and site upkeep. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating in a team environment, and supporting multiple areas of production operations. Team members in this role gain exposure to all aspects of yard operations, including log handling, kiln support, inventory management, and environmental cleanup activities. The position plays an important role in keeping operations safe, organized, and running efficiently.
What You'll Do:
Load and unload log trucks, dry kilns, and by-products while supporting daily yard and inventory operations Assist with feeding the stave mill, pulling log tags, and supporting log buyers and kiln operations Support environmental cleanup efforts and maintain safe, organized work areas throughout the yard Assist with handling and tracking inventory materials across log yard and stave storage operations Operate or assist with heavy equipment and perform general labor duties in varying outdoor weather conditions
Scheduled Shift :
Monday through Thursday; 5:00pm-3:30am
Starting Pay :
$18/hr + shift differential Required High School Diploma or GED equivalent Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, climbing, and lifting Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including hot, humid, and cold environments Preferred Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience Experience working in outdoor production, lumber, or wood products
