WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

What's the job? Employees will be responsible for the working in the trailer loading operation which includes operating a forklift, handling inventory, working in & around semi-trailers, understanding the safe movement of traffic in & out of the trailer loading area, and the securing of trailers for loading.

Compensation:

$21.00/hour

Shift :

2nd (3pm-11pm) or 3rd shift (11pm-7am)

Primary Functions:

Understand Pedestrian & Mobile Equipment safety in the work area General housecleaning of the work area Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner Understand Plant & Distribution Safety Rules Able to understand and apply all safety procedures Understand and follow all SOPs related to the Distribution Trailer Loading operations Understand all Plant emergency situations & procedures Complete Employee Safety Orientation & all safety training programs Report all safety incidents to Team or Group Leaders Proper use of necessary PPE required in the Plant work areas Ability to operate safely a powered industrial vehicle (forklift) Proper transport and stacking of board in a safe and productive manner Proper loading of board onto flatbed & cabana trailers Ensuring risers are removed from all bays when empty Operation of propane powered forklifts to load, unload, transport and stack materials Completion of pre -shift / walk around inspections of forklifts Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as cleaning, lubricating, fueling or replacing propane tanks Proper placement of risers on board units in the warehouse Complete inventory security in the loading process Understand safety procedures on semi-trucks & trailers Could be reassigned and required to perform other duties as requested Assist in any duties deemed necessary for Successful Department Performance

Working Conditions:

Ability to work overtime as needed for business. Ability to work in office or warehouse setting, including various climate environments Ability to work in warehouse floor elements, including dust, noise & odors Ability to demonstrate acceptable attendance Ability and willingness to work overtime as required

Physical Demands:

Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hearing protection, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and hard hats Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 50 pounds
