South Union Distribution Center (Woodburn, KY) - Laborer/Operator

Accountability:

Assists with the loading and unloading of freight.

Responsibilities:

Securing coils in boxcars. Using the Holland Load Snugger System in conjunction with Carolina Strap Method #1 and Cord Strap Method #1. Assisting with loading and unloading of shuttle train from Logan. Assisting with loading and unloading truck freight. Must be flexible to work as needed to serve the customer's needs.

Specialized or Technical Knowledge, or Education and Experience:

Previous warehouse experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Requires constant standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and balancing in a safe manner. Requires occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 30 lbs. Requires frequent twisting while operating equipment, especially forklift.

Environmental Conditions:

Performs duties in a warehouse environment.

Major or Unusual Problems:

Rapidly expanding company is increasing the workload and therefore the ability to produce sufficient volume of work while maintaining accuracy is a must.
