What You'll Do Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shipped Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders in appropriate shipping/holding area Assist in counting of physical inventory Assist in filling work/shipping orders Assist in performing inventory on materials Assist in unloading and loading customers Inspect outgoing material for accuracy Maintain work area and location organized and clean for orderliness at all times Sort and place materials and items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code Perform a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, pushing, reaching, bending over, climbing, and kneeling Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program Operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines Telephone and face to face contact with customers providing recommendations, price/job quoting, and entering sales orders Perform other administrative and support duties as needed. What You'll Need 1+ year(s) forklift / loader experience Ability to operate a forklift Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shipped Ability to work in uncontrolled climate environment and in the elements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to stand for long periods of time Ability to multi-task and manage time required Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and business leaders Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies, rules, and regulations Ability to be flexible, a team player and interact professionally with employees as well as external contacts Able to work overtime as business requires Proficient in Microsoft Suite Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) Your Education High School Diploma or GED required We are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
