Warehouse Associate/Driver Job Description:
The Warehouse/Driver position requires collaborative support with various tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the facility. Warehouse Associates are responsible for accurately filling orders, stocking inventory, managing inventory and supporting the day to day branch operations in a helpful and friendly manner. The Warehouse Driver position delivers products to local customers in a timely manner. The driver records deliveries and pick ups on a hand held scanner or load manifest sheet and obtains signatures from customers for receipt purposes. They listen to and resolve service inquiries and complaints. Drivers load and unload trucks, perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections, document deficiencies, and ensure all safety items are in good working order. Warehouse Associates are expected to help keep the warehouse clean and organized, load and unload trucks and palletized orders and deliver orders.
Job Duties:
Operate a pick up truck or flat bed truck. Secure freight using straps, chains, binders, and tarps. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Communicate with dispatch regarding load updates. Deliver freight safely and on time. Follow DOT regulations and safety standards. Checking in and stocking inventory. Daily cycle counts required. Report management for accurate inventory levels. Accurately picking and staging orders. Safely operating a forklift. Working productively with little supervision. Following company safety policies and procedures. Maintain a neat, clean and professional work appearance. QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma or equivalent. Class D Driver License. Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not required. Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets. Ability to lift 60 lbs. required. Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines. Must be able to work occasional overtime if necessary. Must pass a drug test Must pass a background check.
