Warehouse Worker

Summery:

Responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of equipment, supplies, and materials. This includes unloading incoming vendor and inter-company shipments, properly storing inventory, and loading customer orders and inter-company shipments efficiently and accurately while constantly maintaining a clean, organized and safe working environment.

Duties:

Unloading and properly storing incoming product carefully verifying product against packing slips; noting any damage, shortages, shipping errors or any other discrepancies according to established procedure Accurately pulling and loading customer orders into customer vehicles in turn requiring customer interaction and excellent customer service skills Accurately pulling and loading delivery truck and intercompany transfer orders Participating in cycle counts and physical inventories as scheduled Observing and promoting established safety procedures Other duties as needed, requested or assigned

Required Skills:

Ability to operate forklift and obtain OSHA required forklift certification (We will provide OSHA forklift certification training) Must be literate and able to perform basic math functions Must have effective communication skills for interacting with customers as well as fellow employees

Physical Demands:

Stand and walk on concrete floor for 8+ hours per day Lift and carry 80 pounds without mechanical aid Push, pull or scoot up to 250 pounds without mechanical aid Manually raise and lower objects from floor to above head Climb ladders Work at heights Twist, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach and squat Work in heat and cold in unconditioned dusty warehouse environment Maneuver mechanical aids such as a pallet jack, hand truck, etc. Distant vision clarity 20 feet or more with or without correction Mid-range vision clarity more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet Near vision clarity to 20 inches or less with or without correction

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
