Initial Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Position Overview We are seeking a hardworking, dependable, and safety-conscious Utility Relief/Laborer (Machine Operator) to join our Production Department. This position will perform a variety of general labor, equipment operation, material handling, and production support duties. The position will initially work a day-shift schedule of 7:00 AM-3:30 PM , although the end time may vary depending on the machine being operated. After completing training, employees will transition to rotating 12-hour shifts . Because this is a 24/7 facility , the rotating schedule will include days, nights, weekends, and holidays . Candidates must be willing and able to work these hours. Key Responsibilities Perform general labor duties, including cleaning, sweeping, shoveling, and material handling. Assist with the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery. Provide relief support across different departments as needed. Load, unload, and safely transport materials, tools, and equipment. Operate hand and power tools as required. Support production and maintenance teams with various tasks. Perform routine inspections and report hazards, equipment damage, or maintenance needs. Follow all safety protocols, procedures, and company guidelines. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management. Work Environment This position may involve: Exposure to loud noises, dust, and varying temperatures. Extended periods of standing and walking. Frequent bending, lifting, shoveling, and material handling. Working in both indoor and outdoor environments. Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Required Work Attire Employees must report to work wearing: Work pants that are pulled up, belted, and free of rips or holes. Comfortable, plain T-shirt. Safety glasses. Steel-toe footwear. #insj
Requirements:
Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous labor, utility, manufacturing, or production experience is a plus. Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, including exposure to varying or extreme weather conditions. Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn. Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to safety and detail. Must be able to pass a Drug Screen and must have a clear background.
