Job Title:
Warehouse Worker / Forklift Operator Job Description The warehouse worker / forklift operator supports daily warehouse operations by safely operating forklifts, picking and pulling incoming and outgoing orders, and handling inventory, shipping, and receiving tasks. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate order fulfillment and efficient movement of materials within the facility. Responsibilities Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse. Pick and pull orders for incoming and outgoing shipments according to work orders and packing lists. Perform shipping and receiving activities, including checking, labeling, and preparing products for dispatch. Handle inventory tasks such as counting, organizing, and storing products in designated locations. Use an RF scanner to locate, pick, and track inventory accurately. Lift, move, and handle boxes and materials, typically weighing between 30 and 50 pounds. Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to move products throughout the facility. Pack orders securely to prevent damage during transportation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the warehouse. Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors in French or English to coordinate daily tasks and resolve issues. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Rose, LA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
