JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Overview:
Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for accurate receipt of incoming materials and supplies. This position also ensures all incoming transactions are promptly entered into the ERP System (SAP) in accordance with applicable standard operating procedures and following through on all material movements to guarantee they are handled in accordance with applicable FDA and cGMP procedures. This is a Medical Device manufacturing site compliant to 21 CFR/ISO 13485 regulations. This position operates during core business hours and requires 12-hour shifts.
Weekdays shift:
Monday through Thursday 6:00am-6:30pm 6:00pm-6:30am.
Weekend shift:
Friday through Sunday 6:00am - 6:30pm or 6:00pm - 6:30am. Business needs may necessitate the need to adjust shift start and end times and days.
Responsibilities:
Ensures safety awareness and adherence to all safety policies to minimize safety risks. By reporting any safety incidents, hazards, and equipment malfunctions promptly to management. Complete all assigned QMS training and keep up to date before performing a task. Operate systems and office equipment such as computers, software, and printers as trained and specified. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, manual and electric pallet jacks for pallet movement. Receive, inspect, and verify the contents of incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips to ensure accuracy. Inspect shipments for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report any issues. Accurately log inventory data into the ERP System (SAP). Organize and store items in the designated areas, ensuring proper labeling and identification. Assist other departments with warehouse needs. Including Staging materials for Quality Inspection and completing raw material orders from other departments. This includes orders made using Kanban Cards, email and Teams. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse to ensure operational efficiency. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma, GED and/or equivalent combination of education or experience.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
Previous warehouse operation experience. Prior Fork Truck experience and ability to pass company standard competency test for operating Fork Trucks and Power Jacks. Basic computer skills and familiarity with SAP ERP system. Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and possess a positive attitude. Physical Requirements (if applicable): Must be able to lift and transfer loads up to 30-50 lbs. Must be able to operate warehouse equipment's. Must be able to stand and bend up to 12 hours a day. Required to lift above the shoulder frequently and below the waist occasionally. Familiarity with ergonomic lifting techniques.
