Responsibilities:
Work safely at all times, consistently following company safety policies and wearing required PPE. Maintain situational awareness on the production floor and in the assigned work area and notify a Supervisor or Manager immediately of any safety concerns. Keep work area clean and organized. Follow quality specifications when packaging product, ensuring correct counts and that appropriate packaging materials are being used. Inspect product for flaws, pull defective items and notify the Quality team. Notify a Supervisor when machines are jammed or malfunctioning. Consistently adhere to all procedures related to Food Safety and Food Defense. Participate in and successfully complete required monthly computer-based and classroom-style safety training modules. Perform other tasks as assigned.
Candidate Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Good knowledge of basic arithmetic:
counting, addition, subtraction, division and multiplication. Strong hand/eye coordination. Attention to detail and the ability to work with precision. Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, reach and regularly lift up to 30 pounds, with occasional required lifting up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work overtime. Work environment is a typical manufacturing environment with seasonal heat/cold and sound related to machine operation and maintenance and facility repair activities. Must be able to stand approximately 95 percent of work time.
