Job Description

Tyca is a 47-year-old family-owned manufacturing company seeking a dependable Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our warehouse team. This is a hands-on warehouse position responsible for receiving shipments, processing outgoing orders, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role is ideal for someone with warehouse experience or someone looking to build skills in shipping, logistics, and inventory management. Responsibilities Shipping & Receiving Receive incoming shipments and verify against purchase orders and packing slips Inspect deliveries for accuracy and damage Reconcile received goods to outstanding orders Prepare and process outgoing shipments using FedEx, UPS, and other freight carriers Generate shipping labels and documentation Coordinate truck shipments when required Order Processing & Inventory Update order management system with shipping and receiving data Enter tracking numbers and shipment confirmations Track and maintain accurate inventory levels Organize warehouse inventory and stock materials Assist with general warehouse organization and cleanliness Customer & Team Communication Email customers with tracking numbers and shipping updates Coordinate freight pickups and delivery appointments Work with purchasing and production teams to ensure timely fulfillment Qualifications Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics experience preferred Experience with FedEx or UPS shipping systems a plus (training available) Basic computer skills (email, data entry, order systems) Strong attention to detail Ability to lift up to 30 lbs Ability to stand, move, and work in a warehouse environment Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Schedule Monday - Friday Full-time hours
