You will utilize your expertise in forklift operation and inventory management to support our supply chain goals and contribute to the overall success of our distribution team. Responsibilities Safely operate industrial forklifts and turret trucks to transport materials, pallets, and equipment throughout the facility. Execute the loading and unloading of freight, ensuring all shipments are verified for accuracy and structural integrity. Optimize warehouse space utilization by coordinating inventory transfers and organizing storage zones. Perform rigorous daily equipment inspections to ensure operational safety and compliance with standard operating procedures. Manage rail car connectivity and logistics tasks to maintain a consistent supply chain rhythm. Contribute to accurate inventory control by participating in routine cycle counts and comprehensive physical audits. Maintain a high standard of workplace organization and safety to foster an efficient environment. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. Proven professional experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting. Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Proficiency in reading and comprehending written standard operating procedures in English. Physical capability to lift up to 55 pounds and perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and manual dexterity. Preferred Skills Prior experience with turret truck operation or specialized material handling equipment. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team-oriented manufacturing or logistics environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination with warehouse staff.
