Job Description

Summary:
Responsible for fulfilling the logistics behind receiving, processing, and storing inventory according to purchase orders and policy. Also ensure that shipping schedules are met with attention to detail to ensure timely delivery and loss prevention.
Responsibilities:
Use barcode scanners and understand barcoded inventory systems Use of computerized weight count scales Follow detailed instructions, pack, and label product for shipment Use of label printers and correctly label bags and boxes of product Put away and pick products into inventory using a barcode scanner Assist in loading and unloading of trucks Making packages to fit the goods distributed by the company Breaking down large lots into smaller boxes The use of related warehouse tools and machinery Understand and work with the warehouse management system computer interface Ability to read and understand transaction record of inventory movement to locate orders Perform all work in accordance with written standard operating procedures and work instructions Assist other team members in maintaining general cleanliness of the warehouse. Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods Current forklift operator license|certification; Prior certifications in forklift driving|safety preferred Demonstrate organizational skills, including strong detail orientation Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Adhere to safety practices Demonstrate knowledge of building materials Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment
