Warehouse Worker

Warehouse Job Description Key responsibilities include:

• Receiving and processing incoming stock: Welcoming delivery trucks, unloading goods, and checking for damaged or missing items.
• Storing and organizing inventory: Placing goods in their designated locations, labeling and tagging merchandise, and ensuring accessible arrangement for efficient retrieval.
• Order fulfillment: Picking, packing, wrapping, and preparing items for delivery, including loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
• Inventory management: Counting and confirming inventory, tracking shipments and stock levels, and accurately entering data into inventory systems.
• Maintaining cleanliness and safety: Keeping the warehouse tidy, following safety procedures, and ensuring equipment and aisles remain unobstructed.
• Equipment operation: Using pallet jacks, electric pallet jack, or other warehouse vehicles as needed (with proper training or certification).
• Reporting and communication: Informing supervisors of inventory discrepancies or damages and collaborating effectively with team members.
• Ability to assist window treatment installation team in the field when necessary.

This may include coming in early or working late.

Typical requirements include:

• Physical fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Attention to detail: Needed for accurate inventory tracking and order fulfillment.
• Teamwork and communication skills: Essential for collaborating within the warehouse environment.
• Basic computer or inventory system proficiency: For logging inventory and processing orders.
• Electric pallet jack certification.
• Ability to use power tools. i.e. Circular saws, drills, etc.
• Familiarity with window treatments.
• A good warehouse worker is dependable, organized, safety-conscious, and possesses a strong work ethic, contributing to the overall efficiency and profitability of the business.

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
