Job Title:
Warehouse Worker Job Description The Warehouse Worker is responsible for selecting products from warehouse racks, assembling, palletizing, and shrink-wrapping products and pallets for customer orders. The role involves moving palletized finished goods from production lines to designated areas within the warehouse and transferring products between warehouses as needed. Responsibilities Pick outbound shipment orders. Load and unload outbound and inbound shipments. Complete and maintain accurate documentation. Organize finished goods in their respective areas, following FIFO, pick sections, racks, and overflow. Maintain a clean and safe work area, utilizing good GMP practices. Operate warehouse equipment including palletizer, stretch wrapper, dock levelers, and air compressor. Perform and document sanitation and CIL activities for your area. Recognize and report quality defects. Understand all tray coding requirements such as UPC, Canadian, Use by Dates, etc. Utilize warehouse management system to properly account for inventory movements. Essential Skills 6+ months of forklift and warehouse experience. Basic math skills including measurement, fractions, and reading gauges. Strong computer skills for inventory tracking. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with picking, packing, inventory, production, material handling, order picking, shipping and receiving, labelling. Proficiency with sit-down forklift, pallet jack, RF scanner, reach truck, RF scan gun, warehouse inventory, and warehouse packing. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a medium-sized manufacturing facility with about 40-50 people in production and warehouse. The facility operates under GMP regulations, focusing on bottling beverages and maintaining strict sanitation procedures. Warehouse shift hours are from 1:45pm to 10:15pm, Monday through Friday. Production operates on the second shift from 5pm to 5am, Monday through Thursday, with alternating Fridays from 5pm to approximately 9:45pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Havre De Grace, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.20 - $20.20/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
