Job Description
Job Overview The Warehouse Traffic Associate plays a critical role in coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing transportation logistics, and ensuring the smooth flow of traffic within the warehouse facility. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to facilitate efficient operations. Duties Responsible for routing completed orders in accordance with customer requirements. Communicate with drivers to coordinate any pickups and drop-offs. Maintain routing requirements to ensure compliance. Sends open customer orders to the production floor in a timely manner using the Warehouse Management System. Ensures that open orders have the correct packing instructions that follow vendor's special instructions. Contacting LTL (Less-than-Truckload) and parcel carriers to ensure pickups are completed daily. Works closely with the internal customer service departments on custom order requirements. Other projects as assigned by the Distribution Center Manager Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education or training in logistics, supply chain management, or transportation is a plus. Previous experience in warehouse operations, traffic coordination, or logistics support role preferred. Familiarity with transportation logistics, including knowledge of shipping methods, carriers, and freight rates. Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with inventory management systems, transportation management software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in record keeping and documentation. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
