Material Handler

Job Title:

Material Handler (1st/3rd Shift) Job Summary Support warehouse and production operations by safely moving materials, operating equipment, and completing physical tasks. Work either 1st or 3rd shift with opportunities for cross-training across functions. Key Responsibilities Move, organize, and stage materials throughout the warehouse Operate forklifts and material handling equipment Perform grinding, packaging, and machine operation (1st shift) Load trucks and handle outgoing shipments (3rd shift) Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE Accurately track and place inventory Lift 50+ lbs and remain active (standing/walking/bending) throughout shift Assist in multiple areas as part of cross-training Requirements 6+ months of warehouse or manufacturing experience Ability to operate or learn forklifts Able to lift 50+ lbs consistently Comfortable in a fast-paced, physical environment Reliable with strong attendance Preferred Forklift or powered industrial truck experience Grinding, packaging, or machine operation Why Join? ~8:00pm-4:30am Steel-toed boots required; PPE provided. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Portland, ME. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
