Overtime and weekends as needed Start ASAP in a Manufacturing & Production Role The Advance Group is hiring a General Laborer for a manufacturing company in Addison, Michigan. This is a manufacturing job involving production equipment, plastic products, machine operation, quality inspection, material handling, packaging, and the use of hand and power tools. This position is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing, production, machine operator, CNC, plastics, or general labor experience who is comfortable working in a hands-on production environment. What You'll Do As a General Labor, you will: Operate CNC routers, molding machines, and other production equipment Set up and adjust manufacturing equipment according to job requirements Use hand tools, power tools, drill presses, saws, punches, and other machinery Mix raw plastic stock and pigments and load materials into production machines Read production orders, basic mechanical drawings, and written specifications Perform quality inspections and self-inspections throughout the production process Use tape measures, steel rules, calipers, gauges, gauge blocks, and pins to verify product quality Maintain accurate production and inspection records Count, package, label, and transfer finished plastic products Move materials and finished products using handcarts and pallet jacks Operate a forklift after completing required training, if needed Follow all quality, manufacturing, production, and workplace safety procedures Work with supervisors and coworkers to meet production and quality goals Assist with training new employees after becoming qualified Requirements for the General Labor To be successful in this manufacturing and production position, you should have: Ability to operate common hand tools, power tools, and production equipment Previous manufacturing, production, machine operation, or general labor experience preferred Ability to read basic mechanical drawings, production orders, and specifications Ability to use measuring and inspection tools such as tape measures, steel rules, calipers, gauges, gauge blocks, and pins Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control Ability to maintain accurate production and inspection documentation Ability to lift up to 55 pounds as needed Ability to work effectively with supervisors and coworkers Reliable attendance and a positive attitude Forklift experience is a plus; training may be provided Manufacturing Job in Addison, MI If you're searching for general labor jobs, machine operator jobs, manufacturing jobs, production jobs, CNC operator jobs, or 1st shift jobs in Addison, MI, apply today.
