Career Opportunity:
Join our team for a rewarding career! We offer a great starting wage of $25.50 that quickly escalates as skills progress. We are now on a 12-hour shift: 4 days on, 4 days off. All starting positions will require you to be flexible working days and nights during the probationary training period (60 days). After that, most applicants will be on night shifts from 7pm - 7 am. We are a union facility and honor seniority rights for job and shift bids. How you will impact
Smurfit Westrock:
This is an entry level position in a manufacturing environment that will progress to additional responsibilities. Heavy manufacturing facility which could involve sitting, standing walking, working overhead, grasping, pulling, pushing, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, and lifting to 50 lbs. for long periods throughout the shift.
What you need to succeed:
Ability to read a tape measure Ability to work in non-climate-controlled temperatures. Hot in the summer, cool in the winter. Ability to follow all safety rules Ability to follow a strict attendance policy. Team player mentality Shift flexibility (you cannot pick your schedule; it's based on bids, line of progression, shift coverage, and training. We ask from the top and force from the bottom). Ability to operate in heavy manufacturing site, lift to 50 lbs. and work variable schedule and overtime as needed. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be willing to work in a tobacco free facility. Must be able to perform basic math, effectively operate computers.
