Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. This role requires a highly organized individual with experience in warehouse operations shipping/receiving. The Material Handler will be responsible for verifying and maintaining records of shipments, distributing material through the production floor, assisting in freight loading and ensuring a clean and orderly work environment. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Key Responsibilities Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required. Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments. Record shipment data such as weight, charges, damages, or discrepancies for reporting and accounting purposes. Receive, unpack, verify, and record incoming material per ISO standards. Request and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain an organized inventory. Pull material for direct production use. Consolidate and manage inventory in a neat and orderly manner. Maintain accurate data entry for inventory tracking and recordkeeping. Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping. Safely load and unload freight, ensuring careful handling of materials. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Follow all company safety protocols and regulations. Housekeeping & Facility Support Dedicate approximately one hour per day to housekeeping duties Perform tasks such as sweeping floors, wiping down surfaces, emptying trash, and organizing common work areas Support overall facility cleanliness to promote safety, efficiency, and professionalism Safety & Compliance Follow all safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and company policies Maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace Properly use required PPE and tools Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting. Familiarity with Microsoft Office for recordkeeping and communication. Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse logistics. Ability to accurately interpret packing slips and shipment documentation. Proficiency in safe material handling and proper packaging techniques. Experience operating a forklift. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Physical Requirements Ability to lift 25-50 pounds Ability to stand for extended periods of time Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motion. Required use of eye, ear, face, and foot protection while on the production floor
