Shop Supervisor / Production Manager Job Summary Vis Comm (formerly CIG Jan Products) is seeking a reliable and motivated General Shop Associate to support daily shop and production operations. This position plays a key role in manufacturing, fabrication, and material handling while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. An eye for quality and strong attention to detail are essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities Assist with general shop, fabrication, and production duties as assigned Operate shop equipment and machinery such as stamping machines, shears, and other production equipment Perform basic welding, assembly, forming, and finishing operations as trained Assist with machine setup, including tooling, dies, and changeovers Load, unload, and move materials using a Hilo (forklift) and other material-handling equipment Support shipping and receiving activities including packaging, labeling, and verification of materials Inspect parts and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards — attention to detail is KEY Identify and report quality concerns, defects, or equipment issues Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and safety procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent preferred Prior experience in a manufacturing or shop environment preferred Forklift (Hilo) experience or willingness to become certified Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes Ability to read basic part prints or work instructions Strong eye for quality with excellent attention to detail Dependable, punctual, and safety-minded Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance Ability to work in a shop environment with noise, dust, and industrial equipment Work Environment & Schedule Manufacturing/shop floor environment Full-time or part-time positions available Overtime may be required based on production demands Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage based on experience Benefits may include health insurance, paid time off, holidays, and retirement plan Training, cross-training, and opportunities for advancement Equal Opportunity Employer Vis Comm (formerly CIG Jan Products) is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in the workplace.
