MNF General Laborer/PIV Operator#26-12844 Detroit, MI All On-site Job Description
Duties:
Pay Rate:
(USD)•hr As a Mechanical Technician, Maintenance of all plant systems, which includes processing, packing, warehouse, and facility operations Learning, troubleshooting, and repairing of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Demonstrates knowledge and uses good safety practices and takes ownership for running of a safe operation Troubleshoot complex mechanical problems with production equipment. Must understand production requirements of equipment, plan and effect maintenance and repairs. Using various machine and hand tools such as drill press, vertical and horizontal band saws, pedestal grinders, drill motors, disc sanders, files, taps, levels, pipe thread machine, arc and gas welders, etc. Working from blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions and performing a variety of construction, fabrication, or repair work using steel, sheet metal, plastic, or wood. Provides excellent customer service for and maintains communications with internal customers Completion of preventative and planned maintenance activities within targeted deadlines Work in a team or autonomously to complete work orders and provide maintenance support in a variety of manufacturing environments Perform other assignments as directed by supervision and leadership Ability to work from ladders, working overhead and heavy hand tools (Lifting/Carrying > 50lbs) Work in hot ovens and confined spaces when necessary Must be fit tested and have ability to use respirator Must be able to work with latex, isocyanates/respiratory sensitizers, formaldehyde, epoxies and dust Able to work near moving machinery, operate power industrial vehicles (forklift) and drive automotive equipment Your Skills and Expertise Two (2) years of Maintenance Mechanic experience This position may require working overtime, weekends, holidays as needed
Skills:
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Three (3) years of Maintenance Mechanic experience Associate degree in a field relating to industrial maintenance with an emphasis in mechanical systems Experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, pipe fitting, conduit work, welding, and fabrication, working with motors and drives and conveyors, troubleshooting basic electrical and 3 phase power systems, working with PLCs and motor controls
Education:
