Job Description

Shipping/Warehouse Associate East Jordan Plastics is currently seeking Warehouse Associates to fill our Day Shift opening. The primary responsibilities of a Shipping/Warehouse Associate include receiving incoming shipments, verifying the contents of each package, and preparing outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and arranging for transportation.
Responsibilities:
Operate HI-LO and other warehouse equipment is a safe manner Load and unload trucks and containers of product and material Maintain logs and requests with shipping/receiving information Able to read and understand HI-LO scale, count, and identify skids, and record appropriately Provide support to the warehouse and plant in relationship to the movement of product and material Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment
Requirements :
Must be 18 years of age Have 2-year HI-LO & warehouse experience Have a valid driver's license Excellent attention to detail, timeliness, and organization Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment RF scanner experience - preferred but not required Strong commitment to safety Must be able to bend, twist, climb, stand, sit, and lift items of up to 50lbs Must be able to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen and physical
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent 1-3 years previous experience in shipping/warehouse environment preferred. Must be able to drive a Forklift and scissor lift
