Warehouse Associate

Purpose:

STO's Warehouse Team requires a combination of knowledge, efficiency, organization, and flexibility. Inbound and outbound freight includes a diverse range of products, including truck tires, rims, etc. Whether a truck is bound for a customer route or an internal shuttle, accuracy is the key.

Hours:

M-F 8am-5pm

Essential Duties:

Pulling Tire & Oil Orders Loading and Unloading trailers Unloading trailers and cross dock to load to another trailer Stacking tires Painting Tires Organizing warehouse Monthly Inventories Maintain clean warehouse Maintaining the highest degree of safe work practices, including following all safety guidelines and regulations. Regular attendance is important to achieving our organizational goals and is an expectation of the position. Occasional driving may be required. Qualified candidates should be willing to work in a physically demanding environment with a substantial degree of physical work including the handling, lifting, and stacking of commercial truck tires.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

A valid driver's license. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Forklift experience is a plus but not preferred Must adhere to all safety guidelines including the proper handling of materials, equipment and tires. Must adhere to the wearing of appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment - goggles, ear protection, safety vests, etc.). Must provide own safety footwear, outerwear appropriate for all types of weather.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Requires excessive sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, lifting and carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Work is performed in areas of dirt, dust, fumes, noise, and vibrations. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Outdoor work will experience seasonal temperature changes (extreme heat and cold), and other unpredictable weather elements. Non-exempt position, with occasional overtime needed, especially during the busy season April through October.
