Material Handler

Description

The Material Handler moves, organizes and tracks raw goods, supplies, and finished products inside the production facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Using forklift trucks and manual materials handling equipment transports materials as directed within plant.

From inventory, selects materials as ordered for specific jobs and moves materials to flow lines.

Moves materials from inventory and properly stores on the flow line.

Maintain Kanban ordering system and proper identification of material part numbers to ensure accurate inventory.

Complete documentation procedures in an accurate and timely manner. This includes system data entry, filing of paperwork, and forwarding copies to proper departments as required. Running queries in Infor CloudSuite.

Insures proper delivery of material and packages to internal customers. Requires excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively and professionally with all employees.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Follow all safety policies.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must have a current valid and clear driver's license.
  • Must be accurate with numbers.
  • Able to write legibly and maintain numerical and alphabetical files.
  • Able to learn and use associated system screens (previous data entry experience preferred).
  • Must have good interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Must have, or be able to obtain, a lift truck license.
  • Able to read and understand blueprints and use simple measuring devices.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Must have ability to comprehend written instructions. Knowledge of computers and software applications.

This position is hourly ($18

  • 22/hour) and is currently being hired through a temp service.
    Work hours: Monday
  • Friday, 6:00AM
  • 2:30PM
