Job Description
This position performs duties relating to general warehouse operations including the receipt, care, and issuance of supplies and equipment from the central warehouse facility or its storage areas. Communicates with vendors and departments to resolve shipping issues, product issues, and product returns. Conducts the pick-up, delivery, and sorting of related items, and participates in office relocations, salvage/surplus equipment transfer and disposal. This position also assembles, disassembles, and installs new and used furniture, and transfers products, equipment, documents, and materials from vendors to departments and internally within the university. Required Qualifications High school diploma of GED. Two years of work experience in warehousing or stockroom operations. Possession of valid chauffeur's license that meets the provisions of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Demonstrated knowledge of delivery services and moving functions. Ability to interpret building diagrams, layouts, and moving requests. Ability to interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and sketches. Ability to conduct appropriate mathematical analysis for warehousing and labor distribution. Ability to maintain accurate delivery records and documentation. The department provides a wide range of essential services, including: Receiving and Distribution Services
- Receives, inspects and distributes inbound freight and deliveries for campus departments, ensuring accurate tracking and timely routing of goods. Procurement and Inventory Management
- Manages stock and supply inventory used by campus departments, ensuring availability and efficient replenishment. Order Fulfillment and Vendor Communication
- Processes internal orders, coordinates with vendors, and ensures timely delivery of goods. Fixed Asset Support
- Assists with asset tracking, documentation, and coordination with university systems. Campus Moving and Delivery Services
- Facilitates the relocation of departmental assets and delivery of supplies across campus. Systems Furniture Assembly and Installation
- Provides setup and reconfiguration of modular office furniture to meet departmental needs. Surplus Operations
- Oversees surplus property management, including online auctions, appointment scheduling, and in-person sales.
