Material Handler

SUMMARY The Material Handler will be responsible to receive in, inspect, store, and maintain material/inventory and subcomponents, transport materials and subcomponents to designated locations, monitor incoming stock, and maintain an organized and clean warehouse.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(other duties may be assigned) Receive and store products as directed in designated, secure locations Inspect Material and ensure it meets internal and customer requirements Ensure proper certification is received with material upon arrival Stock Material and Subcomponents in accurate bin locations Stage Material and Subcomponents (for Jobs) in designated staging area Etch all Material prior to being removed from the warehouse Prepare and maintain record of materials received including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information Manage and maintain accurate inventory quantities and complete physical count of inventory in identified cycles Communicate with Controller on identified inventory issues, concerns, or changes Organize warehouse and placement of material Create and maintain bins and locations Coordinate with internal Buyer of timeline of receipt and certifications of material Support Shipping & Receiving department in packing and shipping as needed Reports to personnel as described in the Company's organizational structure

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS AND MEASURABLES 1.

Receive in, inspect, and certify material within 5 days of arrival of designated location 2. Stage material and subcomponents for jobs 1 day prior to job's scheduled start date

PREFERRED MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

High school diploma or G.E.D. Forklift Certification

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to communicate to appropriate in-house personnel

MATHMATICAL SKILLS

Basic math skills necessary. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division Basic measurement skills necessary. Able to measure and count material

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems when they occur.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Experience in a shipping/receiving environment Forklift operation
