The role also includes performing quality checks and correctly labeling and sorting parts into bins. The work is straightforward and involves loading parts while robots handle unloading and stacking. Responsibilities Lift up to 40 lbs. Unload metal automotive parts into machines and ensure they are clamped down securely. Perform quality checks on products. Label and sort parts into bins according to part number. Engage in physically demanding tasks, lifting 20-45 lb parts every 2-3 minutes. Essential Skills Experience with physical work, including frequent lifting of 25-40 lbs. Background in manufacturing, machine operation, or quality assurance. Work Environment The role is set in a manufacturing environment that is loud and busy, with metal machining processes. The area is well-lit, and tasks involve lifting parts from knee to waist height. Work hours are divided into shifts: Days (8am-4pm), Afternoons (4pm-12pm), and Midnights (12pm-8am), with frequent Saturday work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Port Huron, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
