Warehouse Reports to:
Warehouse Operations Manager FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt Job Summary:
Warehouse clerk duties such as shipping, receiving and delivery of inventory items.
Essential Functions:
Performs work including but not limited to loading and unloading trucks, order-picking and packing, receiving and storage of inventory and supplies Performs daily cycle counts Communicates with CSRs and Buyers on shipping and receiving issues Operates company vehicles and equipment safely and reports any mechanical problems Follows proper procedures in reporting accidents in accordance with Company policy Participates in problem solving Operates a forklift truck in picking orders or in storing of merchandise Checks, counts and may account for items within containers; verifies accurate count of incoming or outgoing materials and merchandise Maintains good housekeeping and reports on any dangerous situations or malfunction of equipment; reports fire or safety hazards to the team lead and/or manager Responsible for all facets of picking, packing and shipping When required to perform deliveries, follows assigned scheduling; makes every effort to ensure that deliveries are on time as scheduled Communicates with team lead and/or manager concerning warehouse-related issues, problems or concerns May perform other duties occasionally related to maintenance, safety or good housekeeping Assists management in developing and implementing continuous improvements throughout all functions Mentoring & training as needed Assumes responsibility and authority for executing job related duties outlined in the Mahar Tool Supply Co., Inc. Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted and assist in lifting 135 pounds on a regular basis Ability to read small print on labels and boxes Must be able to lift, bend and climb on a regular basis
Travel Required:
Delivery runs throughout the day are required Occasional overnight travel may be required
