Job Description

Job Summary Join our vibrant yacht club community as a Dock Hand, where your enthusiasm and mechanical aptitude will help ensure smooth and safe operations along the waterfront. In this energetic role, you will assist with docking, mooring, and maintaining boats while providing exceptional service to members and guests. Your hands-on skills and positive attitude will contribute to a welcoming environment that celebrates boating, teamwork, and outdoor activity. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop practical skills in marine operations while enjoying the scenic beauty of the Yacht Club. Responsibilities Assist with docking, securing boats and waste pump outs. Perform routine inspections of docks, pilings, and mooring equipment to ensure safety and functionality Maintain and clean restrooms, club room, pool and pool area. Support boaters with guidance on tie-up procedures during arrivals and departures Keep the dock area clean, organized, and free of hazards to promote a safe environment for all users Perform outdoor clean-up such as mowing, pulling weeds, planting, and picking up debris. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and assisting members or guests as needed Experience Prior experience or familiarity with rigging techniques used in marine or outdoor settings is preferred Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset are essential Previous experience working in a marina or waterfront environment is a plus but not required This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in marine operations while enjoying an active outdoor setting.
