SUMMARY OF POSITION
Material Handlers are responsible for supplying workstations and material racks with the proper materials, supplies and component parts, typically while operating equipment such as an industrial forklift or tugger. In addition, Material Handlers will transport finished goods and scrap to designated areas while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. ✓ Shall adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices such as; utilizing personal protective equipment and proper attire in keeping with safety standards. ✓ Comply with all

procedures and work instructions as it pertains to the position description.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Responsible for delivering supplies, raw materials and component parts to the workstations or material racks in accordance with the Manufacturing Cadence. 2. Ensure that finished goods are safely and efficiently transported to designated shipping or staging areas free from damage and properly handled to maintain quality. 3. Responsible for identifying, weighing, and tagging scrap prior to transporting to the assigned area. 4. Responsible for maintenance of daily recordkeeping and documenting lot control as needed. 5. Responsible for removing expired or non-applicable labels on returnables/totes/packaging/containers prior to use at workstation. 6. Responsible for verifying that the label matches the product being moved. 7. Responsible for organizing and maintaining all material handling supply equipment. 8. Responsible for verifying customer returnables are empty when taking them to workstations. 9. Responsible for responding appropriately when Andon lights are activated (Equipment Down, Quality or Material Issues). 10. Pre-stages material for the Changeover process. 11. Responsible for verifying the correct internal dunnage and working condition of containers. 12. Follows posted 5S Instructions for their station(s) by performing daily housekeeping and adhering to plant organizational requirements on the assembly floor. 13. Follows escalation process. 14. Responsible for understanding and participating in all aspects of the continuous improvement process. 15. Performs all other functions as required; included are any work assignments relating to the efficient flow of work within JAC Products Inc.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Ability to pass the necessary testing for equipment licenses (lift truck license and/or tugger license). Maintain a team-oriented working environment that allows for individual differences and provide for individual growth. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies and procedure manuals and operating instructions. Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Familiar with FIFO (First In - First Out) protocols Ability to use various types of tools (manual, electric, pneumatic, etc.) Demonstrated knowledge of PPE and Safety Systems Demonstrated sense of urgency, responsibility and accountability Awareness level Lock Out/Tag Out process knowledge Ability to communicate effectively Basic computer skills Knowledge of resins, materials and packaging products. Knowledge of lot control & lot control processes.
PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or General Education Degree
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years of operating an industrial forklift in a production manufacturing facility.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration, repetitive motion, bending, lifting, twisting, crouching, climbing, reaching, pushing and/or pulling and high temperatures. While performing the job functions of this position, the employee frequently uses or works near powered motor vehicles, power tools, and automated assembly fixtures.
