General Laborer

Job summary: Performs a variety of tasks. This position is very demanding physically. We are looking for a person who can work well as a part of a team. Needs to be forward thinking, self-motivated, detail oriented and have the ability to follow precise directions.

Essential Job Functions:

Clean and maintain a safe work environment Abide by standard work procedures and job safety standards Meet quality expectations for all output produced Responsible for general labor tasks in assisting overall production of the shop We are looking for employees who are hardworking, reliable and detail oriented Ability to read and understand work instructions Ability to work quickly, accurately, and independently Willing to learn how to use grinders, cranes, forklifts, plasma cutters, and other tools Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing Tasks not limited to: assembly, boxing, crating, cleaning, delivery, yard maintenance, snow removal etc. Other duties as required by supervisor. Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions. Demonstrated knowledge of material, methods, tools and equipment. Demonstrated ability to work in poor lighting, heating and ventilation. Demonstrated ability to work in extreme hot and cold conditions. Demonstrated ability to work in dirty and noisy areas. Demonstrated ability to operate hand and power tools. Demonstrated ability to interpret blueprints. Demonstrated ability to sketch schematics. Demonstrated ability to work in tight places. Demonstrated ability to lift moderately heavy objects (50-90 pounds). Demonstrated ability to do excessive walking, standing, bending and stooping. NSF Standards Minimum Requirements:

Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. May require 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
